My read

Most screening calls aren’t meetings.

Most recruitment conversations happen on the phone, on WhatsApp, on FaceTime — calls with no meeting for a notetaker bot to join. Sorinai doesn’t need one. It listens on your side of the call, so a conversation on WhatsApp/Phone Calls gets the same notes as a video meeting.

Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, WhatsApp, FaceTime, a browser tab, or the dialler your desk already uses — if the call runs through your computer, Sorinai is taking notes on it.

Nothing joins, and no participant called Notetaker appears in a nervous candidate’s screen. It’s your notepad, open on your desk, on every call your computer carries.

  • WhatsApp
  • FaceTime

Your sheet fills in. The gaps speak up.

Bring the qualification sheet your desk already uses — notice period, right to work, reasons for leaving, and industry specific questions. Each field answers itself the moment the conversation reaches it, and the sheet stays exactly as particular as your process is.

There is a live checklist built from your qualification sheet. The questions this screening call hasn’t covered yet sit in plain sight while the candidate is still on the line, not discovered two days later when the hiring manager asks.

Qualify the role while the client is still talking.

The intake call decides the whole search, and it’s the one you usually leave with scribbles. Point Sorinai at your qualification sheet instead: why the role is open, the actual job behind the title, the real must-haves against the nice-to-haves, the money, the process.

You come away with a brief you can search against, and a written answer to the question every good candidate asks — why would anyone join?

Recommendation

My readUrgent backfill — shortlist by Friday

Hang up with the write-up already done.

When the screening call ends, Sorinai writes the answers into your original Word or PDF — your format, formatting untouched, ready to send to the hiring manager or upload to your ATS. No retyping from a transcript or from memory.

That’s the ten or fifteen minutes after every call, back. Across a week of screening it adds up to most of a day, and the only place that time ever came from was sourcing.

The Sorinai notepad on the Template tab, showing a progress card reading “Filling out your Word doc” while the Full name and Current role fields are already answered.

Every desk keeps a different sheet.

Intake and candidate write-up

Two calls, two documents: the intake that scopes the search, and the write-up your client actually reads. Both fill themselves in while you talk, so the gaps between calls go back to the pipeline instead of the paperwork.

Candidate reports

Long-form candidate reports and market-mapping calls, where the notes are the deliverable. Your own report format comes back filled, not replaced by a tidier summary of it.

Scorecards and debriefs

Scorecards and hiring-manager debriefs that come out the same shape every time, so a panel of five can be compared at the end of the week rather than remembered.

Role qualification

The client intake call — the real must-haves, the real ceiling, why anyone joins.

What happens to candidate data.

Nothing joins the call
No participant called Notetaker appears in the candidate’s screen, and nothing is emailed to them afterwards. Sorinai listens to your computer’s audio; it makes no video recording of the call.
The notes are yours
Every note, transcript and answer is tied to your account. On a team plan, admins can see meeting counts and titles — never what was said or written.
Nothing is shared until you share it
A meeting stays private until you create a share link. Links carry the notes only, expire after 30 days, and can be revoked at any time. The transcript is never included.
Never used to train AI models
Not by us, and not by the AI providers we send the conversation to — their API terms exclude it. Your calls don’t become anyone’s training data.
Delete means delete
Deleting a meeting removes its notes, transcript and filled documents outright — a real delete, not a flag that hides them from you.

Frequently asked questions

No. Sorinai listens to your computer’s audio, so there’s no participant called Notetaker sitting in a candidate’s screen and nothing is emailed to them afterwards. It’s your notepad, on your side of the call.

Yes — any call your computer carries: a softphone, a dialler, a video call, or a call in a browser tab. Sorinai notices the call starting and takes notes the same way it does in a meeting.

Bring it. Upload the Word or PDF your desk already sends and Sorinai fills its fields during the call, then returns the same file with the formatting untouched. Nothing is standardised on the way in or on the way out.

Yes — during the call or afterwards. Every answer is yours to change, and the quote it came from stays attached, so you can check what the candidate actually said before you send anything on.

The rules vary by region, and it’s the same judgement as recording any call. Most recruiters open with a line about taking notes as they go, which takes three seconds and nobody minds.
