Templates & context
Three kinds of thing you can attach to a session: a template (structured notes Sorinai fills in for you), the candidate's CV, and the job description. The more you attach, the sharper the call.
Adding a template
A template is a Word document with the questions you want answered during the call — qualification questions, general interview notes, whatever your team runs through each time. Sorinai reads the questions out of it automatically and fills the answers in as the candidate talks. Sorinai ships with a default template so you can start using the app right away.
You can upload from two places:
- The desktop app — the template stays private to you.
- The admin panel (team admins only) — the template is shared with everyone on your team.
Watching it fill in
During the call, open the template tab on the notch to see your checklist. Each row ticks off as the candidate answers. No need to take notes — just steer the conversation.
Editing answers
Auto-filled answers are a starting point. Tap any row on the notch to edit it. Sorinai keeps your edit and won’t overwrite it. You can also edit answers after the call, from the session detail view.
Filling one in after the call
Forgot to attach a template? Picked the wrong one? You can fill one in after the fact:
- 1Open Session history and pick the session.
- 2Choose the template you want to apply and click Fill template.
- 3Sorinai works through it in the background. When it’s done, the filled document appears in the session with a download button.
Sharing with your team
Templates uploaded from the admin panel show up in the launcher on every teammate’s desktop app. Only team admins can add or remove shared templates.
If you edit a shared template, only future sessions use the new version. Past sessions keep the version they were captured with.
Candidate CVs
Attach the candidate’s CV to a session — PDF or Word, up to 10 MB. Sorinai reads the text and uses it to sharpen follow-up questions and to flag any claims during the call that don’t match what the CV says.
Job descriptions
Attach the job description the same way — PDF or Word. Sorinai pulls out the company name and role title automatically. It uses the JD to keep follow-up questions on-target and to catch candidate claims that don’t match the role (level, tech stack, scope).
Like templates, JDs you upload from the desktop app are personal; team admins can upload JDs to the admin panel to share them across the team.
